Description
Chicken Alfredo with jarred sauce is a quick and creamy comfort dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Using jarred Alfredo sauce saves time without compromising on flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 1 (15-ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional for extra creaminess)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Chicken:
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken slices with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
4. In the same skillet, pour in the jarred Alfredo sauce. For a richer flavor, stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is warmed through (about 3-4 minutes).
Combine Everything:
5. Add the cooked fettuccine and chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is fully coated in sauce.
Serve:
6. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad.
Notes
- Substitute grilled or rotisserie chicken for an even faster version.
