Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef 🥩
- 1 packet taco seasoning 🌮
- 1 cup cooked white rice 🍚
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce 🧀
- 1/4 cup sour cream 🥣
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend 🧀
- 1/2 cup tortilla chips, crushed 🌽
- 4 large flour tortillas 🌯
- 2 tbsp butter, for grilling 🧈
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease and stir in taco seasoning according to package instructions. Set aside.
- Assemble the Burrito: Lay a tortilla flat. Spread 2 tbsp nacho cheese sauce in the center. Add a layer of cooked rice, seasoned beef, sour cream, shredded cheese, and crushed tortilla chips.
- Wrap the Burrito: Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll it tightly to form a burrito.
- Grill the Cheese: Spread a thin layer of shredded cheese on top of the burrito. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the burrito cheese-side down and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is golden and crispy. Flip and grill the other side for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve: Serve hot with your favorite sauces or sides like guacamole, salsa, or extra nacho cheese.
Notes

- You can swap out ground beef for shredded chicken, ground turkey, or plant-based crumbles for a vegetarian option.
- Add black beans, pinto beans, or sautéed peppers and onions for extra texture and flavor.
- Cheese Variations:
- Experiment with different cheese blends like cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack for a spicier kick.
- Use shredded mozzarella for an extra melty cheese layer.
- Tortilla Tips:
- Warm the tortillas slightly before assembling to make them more pliable and easier to roll.
- Avoid overfilling the tortilla to prevent it from tearing.
- Grilling Technique:
- For an extra crispy texture, use a sandwich press or panini maker.
- Use parchment paper between the burrito and the grill to keep the cheese from sticking.
