Instructions
- Prepare the Pudding Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, cold milk, and sour cream until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- Layer the Cake and Filling:
- In a 9×13-inch dish, spread half of the cubed angel food cake evenly.
- Pour half of the cherry pie filling over the cake.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cherry layer.
- Repeat the Layers:
- Add the remaining cake cubes, followed by the rest of the pudding mixture.
- Top with the remaining cherry pie filling.
- Add the Whipped Topping:
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the entire dessert.
- Sprinkle sliced almonds and white chocolate shavings on top for extra flavor and crunch.
- Chill and Serve:
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
