Description

This classic meatloaf recipe made with Lipton Onion Soup Mix is the ultimate comfort food. Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, it’s easy to prepare and loved by the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 packet (1.9 oz) Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, ketchup, garlic powder (if using), and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
  3. Shape the Meatloaf:
Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan or shape it into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet lined with foil. Smooth the top.
  4. Add Topping:
Spread a thin layer of ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor and moisture.
  5. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve:
Slice and serve hot with mashed potatoes or your favorite veggies.

Notes

  1. For a moist meatloaf, avoid overmixing the ingredients.
  2. Substitute bread crumbs with crushed crackers or oats if preferred.
  3. Leftovers make fantastic sandwiches the next day!
