Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup diced pimentos, drained
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Gently fold in the diced pimentos, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if desired), salt, and black pepper. Stir until fully incorporated.
- Adjust the seasoning and consistency by adding more mayonnaise or spices as needed.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers, fresh vegetables, sandwiches, or as a topping for burgers or baked potatoes.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, use smoked cheddar or add a touch of smoked paprika.
- This recipe is highly adaptable—feel free to mix in chopped jalapeños, crumbled bacon, or even a dash of hot sauce for extra zest.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Pimento cheese can also be used as a filling for stuffed celery or deviled eggs.
