Banana Pudding is a classic dessert thatโs creamy, sweet, and incredibly easy to make. Layered with fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, and pudding, this no-bake treat is perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
- 2 large bananas, slicedย
- 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mixย
- 2 cups cold milkย
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (or whipped topping)ย
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extractย
- 1 box vanilla wafer cookies (about 30–40 wafers)ย
Instructions
Make the Pudding:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Prepare the Whipped Cream:
2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. (Skip this step if using pre-made whipped topping.)
Layer the Pudding:
3. In a trifle dish, a large bowl, or individual cups, add a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom. Top with a layer of banana slices.
4. Spread a layer of the prepared pudding over the bananas, then add a layer of whipped cream.
5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with whipped cream on top.
Decorate and Chill:
6. Crush a few vanilla wafers and sprinkle them over the top for garnish. Add extra banana slices if desired.
7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For extra flavor, drizzle a bit of caramel sauce over the layers.
- Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid overly mushy slices.
